Welcome

MIB’s main focus lies in understanding businesses and consumers in international markets. We work to address important cross-disciplinary research questions including marketing strategy and management, consumer psychology and behaviours, multinational firms, innovation, and human resource management in international contexts. 

Our members have been working extensively together in a wide spectrum of scholarly work, with publication in leading journals, e.g. Journal of Management, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Research Policy, Journal of World Business, Human Relations, British Journal of Management. 

One of our strengthens is international marketing research. We have been recognised as world Top 5 in citation and Top 10 in publication in the Journal of International Marketing, an AMA (the American Marketing Association) journal and the best one in area, along with other strongholds like Leeds, Michigan State, Vienna (see Donthu et al., 2021, DOI: 10.1177/1069031X211004234).

Our studies have drawn significant research income from a wide range, e.g. AHRC, IAA ESRC/SEBRAE Brazil, NNSF (China), China Scholarship Council. Our members are acknowledged by winning prestigious awards, academic journal editorial/conference board memberships, visiting professorships, and media coverage. Members have demonstrated how their research helps a wider community to improve their performance and welfare.
